The Centre has been involved in several Teacher´s Education Associations since 1987. Until today, our organisation is an active member of the following associations:

-        ATEE- Association for Teacher Education in Europe is a non-profit individual and institutional membership organisation in Europe, founded in 1975, whose aim is to enhance the quality of Teacher Education in Europe and supporting the professional development of teachers and teacher educators at all levels. -        ATE- Association of Teacher Educators in North America is an individual membership organization, founded in 1920, devoted solely to the improvement of teacher education both for school-based and post-secondary teacher educators. (Link to http://www.ate1.org)

-        ATA- Association for Teacher Educators in Africa is a non-governmental non-profit African organisation, aiming at enhancing the quality of Teacher Education in Africa and supporting the professional development of teachers and teacher educators, at all levels. -        ATEA - The Australian Teacher Education Association is the major professional association for teacher educators in Australia. The mission of the Australian Teacher Education Association is to promote the preserve and continuing education of teachers in all forms and contexts; the teacher education as central in the educational enterprise of the nation; Research on teacher education is a core endeavour.

-        WFATE- The mission of the World Federation of Associations of Teacher Education is to build a global community of teacher educators and to promote trans-national collaboration, support and research and development in teacher education. Within WFATE teacher education associations in Europe (ATEE), the United States (ATE), Australia (ATEA) and initiatives for a teacher education association in Africa work together. Our Centre is  member of the Board of Directors and our current Director, Dr. Mireia Montané, has been appointed as next president of WAFTE (Link to http://www.wfate.org/)
